Russia-Ukraine War: Putin falls into trap of West!

Russia's long-standing concern that Ukraine--like former Soviet countries, like Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia--may join NATO in the future. The country claimed for long a promise from the West that Ukraine would never become a NATO member. But despite Russia's stipulation, the West allies did not pay heed to it. The West and its allies adopted a Membership Action Plan (MAP) for Ukraine at the 2008 NATO Bucharest Conference.

Although one decade has passed, Ukraine cannot yet be a member of NATO due to the opposition of several NATO member countries including Germany and Hungary. However, the process of NATO's accession to Ukraine has not come to the end. Russia-Ukraine tensions have raised pointedly over a number of issues, including Russia's occupation of Crimea, recognition of the independence of Donetsk and Luhansk, part of Ukraine, and NATO military exercises in Ukraine's airspace. Lastly on February 24, Russia invaded Ukraine, the culmination of a long-running crisis.

At the time of the unification of the East and West Germans, the West and its allies promised that there would be no eastward expansion of NATO. But after the collapse of the Soviet Union, NATO expanded eastward, and most of the European countries that were once in the communist bloc joined NATO. Russia's closest neighbour, Ukraine, is following suit. Russia's concerns the way the western military alliance, NATO, is slowly encircling Russia, is a threat to its sovereignty and security.

If Ukraine joins NATO, the rival United States or NATO forces will be on Russia's doorstep. Russia deems the military presence of its main rival, the United States and its Western allies, at its doorstep as a major security threat. Putin also considers the break-up of the Soviet Union in the early 1990's as a geopolitical catastrophe. Some of his recent statements suggest that he still regards Ukraine to be part of Russia! His bizarre attitude and provocative actions by the west allies have prompted him to invade Ukraine.

After the start of the military operation on February 24, Russia considered that Ukraine's defence system might collapse very easily. But in reality the opposite happened! The people of Ukraine and the military have built up a strong resistance. Putin may not have even dreamed he would face such obstacles in Ukraine. However, ignoring all obstacles and sanctions, Russia is fighting to achieve its goal. The country has started the process of forming a pro-Russian government in Ukraine by removing the current mayors of Melitopol and Dnipropetrovsk and put in power pro-Russian mayors.

But Russia will not be able to carry out its original plan until Kiev is occupied. And given the latest state of the war, it seems that Putin's goal will not be easily achieved. And realizing this, he may be going to adopt a "divide & rule" policy in Ukraine by taking part in Russia through a referendum in Luhansk.

Although Putin has made various arguments behind the invasion of Ukraine, he is under pressure from the outside world to launch a direct military strike on an independent and sovereign country. Only four countries in the world have sided with Moscow in a resolution condemning Russia in an emergency session of the UN general assembly. Not only in the outside world, there are protests to stop the war in his own country.

According to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, more than 3.5 million people have fled Ukraine and taken refuge in neighbouring countries since the Russian invasion. Russia's devastation in several cities, including the capital Kiev are being telecasted. As a result, peace-loving people consider Russia as an aggressive country.

The west and its allies have been imposing sanctions on Russia since its invasion. More than 5,000 sanctions have been imposed on Russia so far. The country has been removed from the SWIFT as a result the Russian economy has been crippled. Giant western companies are withdrawing their investments in Russia in protest of the attack. In addition, the country has become isolated due to the ban on air travel. The cost of living in Russia has already risen by 14 percent due to sanctions.

The country's import costs have increased drastically. According to the latest data, the country's inflation has risen to 14.5 percent. In addition to economic sanctions, FIFA, the governing body of international football, and UEFA, the governing body of European football, have banned Russia from all competitions. So the next World Cup became almost uncertain for that country. With the exception of a few countries, almost every country in the world has turned its back on Russia. Putin will be more cornered if the West can now reduce its oil and gas dependence on Russia.

Although not all Western and European leaders have reached a decision on Ukraine question, the military alliance NATO has benefited the most. A few days ago, the President of France called NATO a brain death, but now this is leading Europe! Russia's two neighbours, Finland and Sweden, say they too want NATO membership. In the wake of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, relatively small neighbouring countries have started to distrust neighbouring large states. In this crisis, NATO may be expanded again. The American arms trade will also boom. So, they are undoubtedly benefited.

But the economic and military position that Vladimir Putin created for more than a decade will only make him fall further behind. Even then it is no longer possible for him to stop fighting. This is not only because of his personal ego, but also because of the question of Russia's status as a superpower. However, it is hoped that the delegations of the two countries reached a consensus on a number of issues at the latest meeting in Istanbul. The sooner the war stops, the better for everyone.

China-India regional crisis and aftermath

Over the past three decades, the two countries have held several rounds of talks on the disputed territory and border crisis between India and China. Despite this, tensions on the border between the two countries have not placated. At least 20 Indian soldiers have been killed in a recent clash between Indian and Chinese troops in the Galoyan Valley on the border with Ladakh. Indian media claim that Indian soldiers were breathed their last because of hitting them with iron rods nailed by Chinese soldiers. This is the most egregious bloody conflict between the two nuclear-armed neighbours in decades.

After 20 army personnel were killed on the Ladakh border, India could not retaliate without banning some Chinese apps due to lack of her prowess. In addition, about 14 per cent of India's total imports come from China. Besides, China's dependence on electronics, car parts, medicines, sports equipment, telecom and many other products is so high that Indian citizens themselves will be harmed if sanctions are imposed there. So it is almost impossible for India to throw away China commercially.

Apart from Bangladesh neighbouring Nepal, Bhutan and Pakistan are stirring up tensions on the China- Indian border. Jammu and Kashmir may also exacerbate. There is internal pressure on the Modi government as well as from neighbouring countries. Opposition parties are incriminating PM Modi and asking his resignation. The Modi government is under pressure overall.

China has adopted a strategy of cornering India by using its neighbour's accumulated distraction. India's long-standing hostile relations with China and Pakistan and India has been directly involved in wars with these two countries at different times. Although friendly relations with Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh have been claimed, the question now is how deep really it is.

There are allegations of Indian interference in Bangladesh's internal politics. There is also dissatisfaction among Bangladeshis against India over sensitive issues such as unequal trade facilities and the killing of innocent Bangladeshis by the BSF one after another at the border.

According to, Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK) 21 Bangladeshis shoot to death, 4 tortured to death, 15 injured and 13 abdicated by BSF in (Jan- June 2020). According to statistics, 343 Bangladeshi nationals have been killed by Indian border guards on the Bangladesh-India border in the last ten years. Despite promises from India, none of this has been judged. The brutal murder of Felani Khatun on the Bangladesh- India border in 2011 caused a stir around the world, a case was filed against the accused in the Indian military court then but the trial was not satisfactory.

Any question about India's friendship with Bhutan can grow, could not have been imagined even a few years ago.  Bhutan has stopped providing water to farmers in Assam's Baksa district. Water has been flowing into the region from Bhutan through a channel since 1953. Thousands of farmers in about 25 villages depend on that water for cultivation.

Nepal released new maps claiming Lipulekh, Kalapani and Limpiyadhura, the three disputed areas as her own land. A few days ago, two Indian villagers were shot dead by Nepali soldiers on the Nepal border in Bihar. The Nepalese army was accused of dragging an Indian. India may not have even dreamed of that.

On the other hand Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan has directly blamed India for the attack on the Karachi Stock Exchange. There is dissatisfaction among the people living in Jammu and Kashmir after India withdrew Article 370, which grants special status to Jammu and Kashmir. In this turbulent situation, Jammu and Kashmir may also take this opportunity to spread heat.

India has lost its way to bring the Corona situation under control. In this situation, it is very difficult to cope with the strategic pressure of the neighbouring countries. India has focused on increasing its military strength to defend its sovereignty. Additional troops have been deployed along the Ladakh border equipped with heavy weapons.

On the other hand, India has started employing additional troops to Andaman and Nicobar Islands to put pressure on China's activities in the Indian Ocean region as well. India recently imported 2.5 billion worth of military equipment from Russia. China is not far behind. They have been equipped with heavy weapons, including increasing the number of troops at the border. As a result, tension is rising.

The world economy has almost collapsed as a result of prolonged lockdowns during the Corona period. Hunger, poverty, unemployment are on the rise. According to the study, global growth could drop from 2.5 per cent to 2.3 per cent this year. According to economic analysts, the damage to the world economy could exceed 15 thousands trillion. So it is easy to assume that the next time, like the present, will not be very pleasant for us. India is now the world's fifth largest economy, according to the World Population Review 2019, a US-based think tank. The size of their economy is 2.94 trillion dollars. And China's position is second, and fast moving. The size of China's economy is 14.14 trillion dollars. Obviously, the economies of the two countries are a big part of the world economy. If the Sino-Indian war breaks out in such a crisis situation, the people of the entire region will be severely affected economically. As well as creating additional pressure on the world economy.

Both China and India should respect the agreement reached in 1998 and 2005 to stop the use of firearms in the conflict between the two countries. They should resolve issues quickly through dialogue in the interest of maintaining peace and stability in the region.

Will Shahbaz be successful, or his fate be like his predecessors?

Renowned cricketer Imran Khan took power in Pakistan through democratic elections in 2018 by forming an alliance with the conviction of fulfilling various promises. His assumption of power was a significant event. He broke the chain of long period of hereditary rule in Pakistan. But before his term expired, his opponents ousted him in a no-confidence vote on April 9, accusing him of economic and foreign policy mismanagement. According to Pakistan's constitution, Imran did not manage to have the required 172 votes to rule out a no-confidence motion. Apart from Imran's allies, several lawmakers from his own party took a stand against him. Now the questions arise the ouster of Imran Khan is the solution to Pakistan's political crisis? Or has the crisis intensified?

Imran Khan accused foreign powers of backing the opposition's no-confidence motion in parliament. Imran Khan asserted directly that United States conspired with the opposition to overthrow his government because of Pakistan's position at the UN on the Ukraine issues and his recent visit to Russia during the Russia -Ukraine war. He also claimed that the country had sent a "threat letter" in this regard. The United States denied the allegations.

Although Imran came to power democratically through elections, there are allegations that the country's military was behind his rise to power. But the army's good relations with Imran Khan have come to an end. In addition, the country's economy is already fragile due to rupee depreciation, declining reserves, rising commodity prices and revenue shortfalls. Imran has failed to deliver on most of his promises to eradicate terrorism, corruption, poverty and unemployment. In particular, commodity prices are beyond the reach of the common people.

When Imran came to power in 2018, inflation in the country was only 5.08 percent, which has now come down to 12.7 percent. In January this year, the country's consumer price index rose to 13 percent. Imran took various welfare projects like 'Health card' for the welfare of the people. But corruption, unemployment, rising commodity prices have created discontent among the people against his government. Moreover the controversial anti-terrorism campaign has led opponents to unite against him. All in all, when he was in a unsteady position, his political opponents chose to oust him.

Political tensions in Islamabad are nothing new. The vacuity of the democracy that erupted in Pakistan's politics with the assassination of Liaquat Ali Khan, the first prime minister of the newly independent country, are still undergone. Since independence, no democratically elected Prime Minister of the country has been able to fulfil his responsibilities. Some of them have been assassinated or ousted. The fate of the Prime Minister of Pakistan has always been controlled by the 'Deep State'. The same thing happened with the last democratically elected incumbent Prime Minister Imran Ahmed Khan Niazi.

The country's opposition leader and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Shahbaz Sharif has taken over as Pakistan's new prime minister. Several countries, including neighbouring India, have already congratulated the new government. On the first day of the parliamentary session as the Prime Minister, Shahbaz has given various promises to the people. It is declared that a new federal government will be formed like the national government. The new government will formulate an economic policy to curb inflation and currency devaluation.

They will formulate economic policies to prevent the rupee from depreciating and adopt a balance policy with all countries in foreign policy. Besides, relief activities will be started on an emergency basis for the poor people of the country. The new government will arrange for the repatriation of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif (Shahbaz's brother) and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar. Nawaz Sharif was convicted in a corruption case, is currently in London for medical treatment.

But things will not be easy for the new government. The country's inflation is now above 12 percent. The amount of foreign debt is 130 billion dollars that is 43 percent of GDP. The rupee depreciated to 190 against the dollar. Political instability in this economic downturn will have a more negative impact on the country's economy. In addition, separatists have long demanded autonomy in the country's mineral-rich and largest province of Balochistan.

Recently there has also been an increase in violence. The separatists may rise again in the political instability. The country also must need to reshape its diplomatic relations. Because Imran Khan has referred to the no-confidence motion against him as an American conspiracy. As a result, Pakistan's relations with the West have come to a standstill. In addition, Pakistan's relations with the West are at an all-time low over issues such as its position at the UN in the Ukraine-Russia war, the Afghanistan issue, and Pakistan's non-participation in Western protests against China's "human rights violations."

The new government have to overcome many challenges, including the opposition movement on the streets, the fragile economy, the internal separatist movement, corruption and militancy, the pressure of the deep state, and the development of diplomacy with the outside world. This remains to be seen whether Shahbaz will be able to come over all the challenges, or his fate will be like that of his predecessors.

Narendra Modi's landslide win in Lok Sabha elections : Did Indian voters support Hindu extremism?

Seventeenth general elections to the House of people (Lok Sabha) in the largest democratic state of the world were held almost fairly and peacefully. This election was held in seven phases and the polling results were finally disclosed. In this election, the Narendra Modi-led NDA got absolute majority with 352 seats. BJP holds 303 seats alone.

In the 543 seats of the House of people, a political party needs 272 seats for the absolute majority. That is, if the BJP wishes, then they themselves would be able to form the government independently. Although Narendra Modi is criticized in his own country as well as in the world for Hindu extremism, the Indian voters kept trust on him at last. Narendra Modi sworn in as the Prime Minister for the second consecutive term after claiming the landslide win.

In the middle of the nineteenth century, India became a British colony completely. Then, through a long struggle and bloodshed, the country was born in 1947 as a independent state. By the formation of the Constitution in 1950, India became a sovereign, liberal, non-communal and a democratic country. But when the BJP led by Narendra Modi-Amit Shah won the 282 seats in the 2014 elections, and since Modi became the Prime Minister, the Indian secular character is drawn to the fundamentalism. After the BJP came to power, various types of torture and oppression came down to the minority Muslim community of that country.

In the past years of Modi's government, we noticed that the Cow Protection Committee formed by extremist Hindus in India tortured and killed many Muslims for carrying cattle or beef meat. Cow slaughter has been banned in many Indian States. In the name of cow protection, innocent Muslim citizens were beaten to death by spreading rumours. Such hateful incidents have also happened in the country, the fanatic made hindrance to the  the Muslims in their religious practice and forced them to eat pork.

During the BJP rule over the past five years, Hindu-Muslim relations have deteriorated in India and the Muslims are now worried about their future. Even though communal violence in the country is being grown up, Hindu nationalist leader Narendra Modi did not take any steps against the fanatic, rather he remained silent on this issue. BJP came to power in the elections of 2014 based on hindu extremism and capitalising the previous Congress government's corruption, nepotism, lack of promised development, investment drought, economic recession, rural development slowdown, unemployment making a slogan 'Make in India'. In the past, 'Make in India' was one of the main projects of the Narendra Modi government. But there was no major success in this project. Before coming to power, Modi's promised that he will take a step so that the farmers may gain more than 50 percent of the investment but in reality it did not.

The farmers expressed dissatisfaction not getting the fair price and many of them committed suicide. The people of the whole of India were annoyed on the issue of canceling 500 rupees and one thousand rupees notes in 2016. In the national or international, there is nothing to say in the term of the Modi government. Rather, there is a variety of turmoil in and out of the country. Modi who came to power with a dream of prosperity has gradually brought a ill-fate to the peaceful Indians. Narendra Modi realized that this term the only way to wear down the opponents in the seventeenth House of people elections is to take shelter under Hindu extremism.

That is why, emotional issues like re-established of Ram Mandir in place of Babri Masjid, cancellation of special status of Kashmir and protection of cow gets importance in BJP's election campaign. Norendra Modi very tactically took advantage of this sentiment of Hindu voters. In addition, Recently Modi's statement about the terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama gave him additional benefits in the elections. Modi became able to convince most of his country's voters that India is safer with him than others. As a result, Things like Rafael's corruption, unemployment problem, continuous peasant dissatisfaction and minority persecution could not impede in the way of victory.

Meanwhile, in the media reports, Hindu extremists started violence against Muslim as soon as the result of the election is out. Three Muslims, including a woman, were beaten seriously at Siwan in Madhya Pradesh on the charge of trafficking cow. Not only that, they have been forced to shout 'Joy Sri Ram'!

There are now a lot of challenges ahead in the BJP government. Among them if the sensitive promises like the re-establishment of Ram temple, withdrawing the special status of Kashmir from the Constitution and the so-called NRC be in effective by BJP, it will create a crisis in the internal politics of India which will create unrest in the neighbouring countries.

On the other hand if the promises made by BJP before the election are not executed, the pressure of Hindu extremists on Modi will increase. In such a situation, Modi should emphasize the internal peace of India and at the same time keeping India's status in the world. And for this, of course, Modi will have to cast aside the politics of divide and hatred and should now walk on unity. It will bring benefits to the entire region, not just for India. And only Modi's liberal policies can increase dignity of India as a secular, multilingual and multinational and as the world's largest democratic country. We shall have to wait to see what path Modi actually chooses- -divide and rule or the path of peace and harmony.

Rape : The dark side of the world's biggest democratic country

It may be harsh to hear that rape is not a new problem in India. Even the death after being raped is not a new phenomenon. Many women had died before being raped in India. But the death of a medical student named Nirbhaya being raped caused a huge stir in the whole of India. This incident pushed the conscience of the Indian people. As far as I remember Nirbhaya was raped on December 16, 2012 on a bus on the way to return home after watching a movie with her friend. She breathed her last in a Singapore hospital while taking treatment. After the rape and murder of Nirbhaya, there was an unprecedented protest across India.

The whole of India was busted into protest in this incident. Then Indian Police arrested the criminals in the face of the mass protests. About four people were ordered to be hanged in the case of gang-rape and murder of medical student Nirbhaya in the trial. After this incident in Delhi, the Indian government passed a new law against rape of women and for the protection of women. Along with this, various women rights and human rights organizations in India were vocal against rape and sexual harassments. But sadly, in the last six years after the tragic incident of 2012, the incidents of rape in the country are not far away, but it is increasing day by day.

According to official data, there are more than 50 rape cases per day in India. In addition, a private voluntary organization states that every 15 minutes a child is subjected to sexual abuse.

Recently, in India-controlled Jammu and Kashmir, a case of raping and killing a child named Asifa Banu, has been discussed again in India. Not only India, there is widespread dissatisfaction in the world for it. Many have been vocal against this incident in social media are already demanding the trial. In the press, I came to know that eight-year-old child Asifa Banu was gang rapped and then was killed after being abducted. What a terrible incident! I do not know how to condemn this incident! Having seen the picture of Asifa Banu in social media, I feel a special fondness towards her. She is like an angel. But she could not escape herself from the sensual eyes of the barbarian rapist. Where are the humanities, values and ethics! Really this is so inhumane and pathetic.

After the rape and assassination of Nirbhaya, there was temporary relief due to the rising voices of the Indians, increasing awareness and ensuring the exemplary punishments of the culprits. But anti-human crimes like rape have not been stopped. The little girl Asifa Banu is the last victim yet now. As compared to earlier, the rate of education has increased in Indian, financial independence has also increased along with women's participation in the work force. The society has progressed in comparison to the earlier. But then there is a rise in crime against humanity like rape, but why this situation repeating?

India's recent entertainment style is playing a role in creating social decline. With the influence of satellite some of the songs that are used in the Indian film by the name of item song created in the deformed manhood theme, their half-naked presentations and distorted gestures are not unknown to us. Most of these are sexual stimulants as well as abusive for women. Women are shown as products in this type of song, advertisement and cinema. The spread of ill-entertainment and advertising is, not only in India but also in developing countries like Bangladesh, making the normal life of women abnormal.

As well as the absence of strong administrative structure like Western countries, the lack of honesty and expertise of law enforcement agencies has marginalised the rights and security of women. Although many organizations are working in order to establishing women's rights, in most cases they are showing failure. There are scopes to question the activities of these organizations. Moreover, There is no scope for denial that India's poor security system and the serious depletion of the social values are making women's life increasingly endangered. Also religious superstitions, the domination of patriarchal attitude are creating obstacles.

Earlier, the religious leader of India, Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, was accused of rape and he was convicted. But despite being convicted, the Indian government had to face many problems to execute that sentence. The religious beliefs of the people of India are being misused by a religious class in India. There are many allegations against these religious leaders, but no one opens their mouth against them.

India is unique to tourists for its history and tradition. But in the event of continuous rape, going to India to the foreigners is now a panic. Many tourists in India had been subjected to sexual harassment and rape. Earlier, United Nations as well as several international human rights organizations started worrying about rape and killing of a foreigner.

A Bangladeshi girl named Nargis went to visit Azmir Sharif and returned dead after being raped. In these incidents, Indian government and law enforcement agencies may adopt additional warnings for the safety of women. But the problems were not solved--- repeatedly the incidents of sexual harassment, rape and murder are giving the message.

It is a matter of shame for a modern democratic state like India. The insecurity of women is destroying India's image abroad. If the Indian government cannot stop the degradation of society, if the anti-humanitarian crime cannot be suppressed, India will have to pay a higher price for this in future.

Saudi Arabia and Iran: Regional power conflicts and Qatar crisis

The Saudi-led Arab alliance's blockade on Qatar is going on for nearly five months. The Saudi alliance has imposed sanctions against Qatar on backing of terrorism. Qatar has always denied the allegation. Although different diplomatic activities were targeted at different times to resolve the Qatar crisis, it did not see the light of Saudi Arabia and Iranian regional conflict.
Qatar's huge amount of financial assistance to the reconstruction of hamas-controlled Gaza, cooperation to the Muslim Brotherhood, Qatar-based news media Al-Jazeera's Israel policy and the United States anti-alignment, Turkish military based in Qatar and Qatar's economic prosperity are the main reasons for unprecedented diplomatic and commercial sanctions by Saudi Arabia and neighbouring Arab countries according to international political analysts.
General CC took the power by overthrowing elected Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi and started torture and repressive treatment of supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood. Qatar gave shelter to Brotherhood leaders and supporters who left the country for the torture of General Sisi. Besides, Qatar's relations with Saudi Arabia have cooled down on 'Hamas'. Saudi Arabia is trying their best to keep Qatar in its borders, one of which is to stop supporting the Palestinian liberation movement Hamas. Qatar has spent billions of dollars in building new homes, hospitals and roads in the Gaza Valley in recent years.
Early on the Saudi alliance presented a 13-point demand for normalizing relations with Qatar and the condition of withdrawal of the blockade. Among those claims -- the reduction of relations with Iran, the severing of ties with the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas, to stop financial assistance for those who have declared terrorist organizations by the Saudi alliance and the United States of America, the Qatar-based Al-Jazeera channel shutdown are noteworthy. Many of the conditions provided by the Saudi alliance are contrary to Qatar's national interest. As a result Qatar did not accept the unreasonable demand of the Saudi alliance.
Qatar, however, did not accept the demand for closure of Al Jazeera. In a recent interview with the US media CBS television, Qatar's Amir Sheikh Tamim said Al-Jazeera's broadcast will not be closed. It can be assumed Qatar will not even stop the military base of Qatar for the sake of Qatar's security. Qatar will not lose relations with Iran for its own security. Qatar's Amir Sheikh Tamim again called on Saudi Arabia to negotiate to ease the ban of four Arab neighbours. Now the issue is to see whether the opponent responds to this call at all or the ongoing crisis exists.
However, due to the blockade of the Saudi alliance against Qatar, Gaza people will be in trouble. Claiming that the 2014 Israeli strike in Gaza, mainly with the financial support of Qatar, Hamas was restructuring their regime. Qatar pledged to provide USD 1 billion in aid there.
In the news release by December 2016, nearly one-fifth of its promised support was given. Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia's recent blockade has put Qatar at risk itself. Following they will be forced to cut the support given in Gaza. This proximity to Qatar with Hamas is believed to be the root cause of Saudi-Qatar conflicts.
As a result, Israel will be the main beneficiary of this blockade. Qatar will now be forced to talk to Israel under pressure. And the ostensible facilities for Hamas have already been minimized. It is easy to imagine, Israel is being most privileged because of the blockade of the Saudi alliance.
It is believed that the strong relationship between Qatar and Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood is one of the reasons for this ongoing conflict. Brotherhood opponent General CC of Egypt is specially supporting this blockbuster only for his sake. He is angry at the role of Qatar's al-Jazeera. Al-Jazeera had publicized the torture that General CC had played while taking power against the Brotherhood's staff irrespective of male and child.
Alongside 'Arab Spring' - there is no opportunity to deny Al Jazeera's encouraging role during the period. Outside of this, the news media spreading the news about the internal situation in Egypt is what the military junta is all about.
On the other hand, the channel has directly presented the malfeasance documents of the Saudi royal family in front of the world. Due to these reasons, the rage of Saudi Arabia has risen on Qatar and their channel.
Not too long ago, many civilians were killed in a funeral of throwing a Saudi bomb. This news was telecasted by the al-Jazeera. In fact, there is no scope to deny Al Jazeera's role in creating opportunities for freedom in the free media of the Middle East and the Gulf. Everybody in the world knows that Saudi Prince Salman and Abu Dhabi's Prince Zayed gave special support to General CC and the country's military forces in ousting the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt's democratic government.
So, there is nothing to say about it that they will go directly against Qatar. Meanwhile, Saudi Arab has failed to expect obsequiousness behaviour from Qatar like Bahrain. As well as Qatar's independent foreign policy gave birth to concerns among them.
The Saudi alliance creates anti-Qatar blockade at a time when the country is busy preparing for the 2022 World Cup Football Tournament. They think that the amount of damage will increase further and they will be under pressure. But the change in the Middle East's geo-politics in the aftermath of the Arab Spring is the indirect result of this blockade. There is still a lot of incident to do in this play.

Why will Bangladesh be responsible for the brutality of Myanmar?

The Rohingya problem is not a temporal human disaster, but planned ethnic cleansing, which has long been sponsored by state-sponsored generations. Myanmar's junta government formed a well-planned Arakanite, living in line with traditional rights of Rohingyas to convert them into an unspecified population, but Aung San Suu Kyi's political party formed a democratic government, but there was no change in the discriminatory policies. Recently, under the name of the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA), a rebel group formed by Myanmar in Rakhine state, the violence against the Rohingyas has started in 24 police camps and a military abduction. Myanmar's security forces and the extremist Buddhist community on the pretext of the attack of ARSA have launched inhuman torture and torture on innocent Rohingyas, as it is inhumane and condemnable.

In the face of killing, arson and rape, Rohingyas are running at the border with Bangladesh to save lives. Already, about one lakh Rohingyas entered Bangladesh; almost every few thousand Rohingyas are trying to enter Bangladesh every day. BGB and coastguard members are struggling to prevent Rohingyas from entering the village.

The Rohingya issue is not a recent incident. After taking the statehood in 1962, after the coup of General Ne Win, the suffering of Rohingyas came down. The military government then took a step to stop the illegal entry of that country. As a result of the action taken by the military junta government in 1977, persecution of Rohingyas came down. In 1978, under the 'Nagaman' ('Dragon King') campaign of Myanmar army, nearly two lakh Rohingyas were forced to take refuge in Bangladesh.

But in view of Bangladesh's extensive diplomatic engagement, the Myanmar bilateral agreement was signed, due to which Bangladesh's repatriation of Rohingya is possible. But the Myanmar junta government amended civil laws in 1982, which deprived the Rohingya civil rights. The military government claims that there is no group called 'Rohingya' in their country, these populations are in fact illegal communities of East Bengal, who have taken shelter in the Myanmar next to the patronage of the British government.

But history says that the origin and development of Rohingya Muslims in the political, social and cultural areas of Arakan In fact, by denying the citizenship of the Rohingya Muslim community, expelled from their country, the extremist Buddhist people of Myanmar chose such tricks to make Myanmar a Buddhist nation. Under the laws of the citizenship of 1982, the military junta identified Rohingya as a foreigner and took away the franchise.

When religious violence persists, then they Rape happens as regularly happens Their property was taken away forcibly. Compulsory labor is engaged in. Their education - the scope of health care is denied. Marriage is not allowed. If the child is not registered then. Ethnic identity is not allowed to be published. The numbers do not grow, so they are imposed on them one after another restrictions. In 1992, after the re-torture of Rohingyas, nearly Two lakh seventy thousand Rohingya refugees took shelter in Bangladesh.

Last October in Rakhine's Maungdaw, the army conducted extensive torture on Rohingya Muslims responsible for the Rohingya attacks by the border guards. At least 70 thousand Rohingya fled to Teknaf and Ukhia in Cox's Bazar after the army's torture. The concern is that since 1979, the Rohingyas who took refuge in Cox's Bazar Miyanmer did not take many of them back. Now there is a new Rohingya penetration again. Considering humanitarian issues, Bangladesh has always adopted liberal policy towards Rohingya. But the way how long?

With the adoption of the state power of the pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi National League for Democracy (NLD), the military rule lasted for more than 50 years in Myanmar lasted nearly two years ago. The democratic government started its journey. Aung San Suu Kyi has long been struggling to recover Myanmar's democracy, establish good governance and protect human rights, have been tortured, spent life in prison.

In the peace of the Nobel laureate Aung San Suu Kyi, so the expectations of the world were a little more. All thought that in Myanmar, true governance, rule of law and human rights will be established. Especially the prospect of the oppressed Rohingya Muslims in the country was a little more than expected. Rohingya thought that Suu Kyi's democratic government will restore their state rights; Happily - they can live in peace in Myanmar.

Going to the Rakhine state in the election campaign Suu Kyi told that it was important to protect the people from the ethnic and religious deprivation. All the people of the country have to be one. Hatred and intimidation towards each other does not bring any success. Though he did not live directly, he relied on Rakiben (once known as Arakan State) to the minority of the oppressed Rohingya Muslims. But they did not have to wait too long to have a dream. Even after the democratic government came to power, Rohingyas are being oppressed and getting new levels of day! San Suu Kyi, the Nobel laureate in peace, is absolutely silent on the Rohingya issue in the politics of vote!

The exact number of Rohingya refugees who have taken shelter in Bangladesh as a result of the violence of the radical Buddhists of Myanmar, has no accurate statistics. However, in the UNHCR global report last year, the number of non-registered Rohingya in Bangladesh is 2 lakh 43 thousands.

And their managed refugee camp has 33 thousand 207 people. That is, the number of Rohingya registered and unregistered Rohingya from Myanmar in Bangladesh becomes number two lakh 76 thousand 207. Already more than one lakh Rohingyas have already been infiltrated in Bangladesh. That is, the number is increasing day by day, which is very worrying. And Myanmar is not even able to return Rohingyas infiltrating Bangladesh very easily. Because the Myanmar government does not recognize Rohingya as the citizen of that country.

As a result, many of the Rohingyas who took shelter as refugees in Bangladesh had been persecuted at different times in the past and could not be repatriated. Although Rohingya issue is the internal subject of Myanmar, Bangladesh is well-connected to this problem. Considering the humanitarian situation, Bangladesh had given shelter to Rohingya refugees and is still giving it, but now it is time to consider internal safety measures and state capabilities.

Bangladesh is not only under the pressure of its population, it is necessary to satisfy its basic needs; In the meantime, the time has come to assert the rationale for the refugees to undergo extra pressure year after year. Besides, the safety of Bangladesh also needs to be considered. In the country, militancy in the country is trying to head out. Many Rohingyas are also involved in news related to drug trade, arms trade, and smuggling, which is threatening for the security of Bangladesh.

Due to the Rohingyas's position of infiltrators, the rare forest reserve in Teknaf has already been completely destroyed. Apart from these problems, due to the large number of Rohingyas, their economic impact on the country's economy has been affected. The Myanmar government wants to impose the Rohingya liability on Bangladesh's shoulders for all time. The ruling regime of Myanmar often publicly declares these Rohingyas as illegal immigrants Bangladeshi.

For this, it is necessary to be very cautious to solve this problem. Bangladesh can not take responsibility for Rohingyas due to the similarities in language, religion or ethno-composite structure. Bangladesh should pressurize Myanmar as quickly as possible to solve the Rohingya problem. Regional agencies, including SAARC, ASEAN, OIC, may be pleased to put pressure on Myanmar. Bangladesh may raise the problem of Rohingya in the UN if needed. Bangladesh is concerned about the Rohingya issue, it is a matter of concern, and it will take an interest in internationalizing the Rohingya problem.

However, on the issue of Rohingya, Bangladesh-Myanmar's bilateral relations should not be ruined. Because Myanmar is an important factor in Bangladesh's foreign policy. Smuggling of border, Rohingya problem, maritime boundary, border problem between the two countries is going on for a long time. At present, the border problem of the two countries is not the same as mentioning.

On the basis of negotiation, the maritime boundary of the international court has been determined. Recently, smuggling is also at controlled level. Now the Rohingya problem seems to be an obstacle to bilateral relations. Therefore, the two countries have to be sincere to solve this problem. If Bangladesh fails to solve this problem diplomatically, then Rohingya refugees will have to bear the burden of living forever.

Tensions in the Korean peninsula

Tensions have erupted in the Korean peninsula, with the recent North Korean nuclear and missile testing. This year, North Korea has launched 22 missile experiments and successfully blasted a hydrogen bomb. Following the inter-continent missile test in July this year, the United Nation imposed strong sanctions on the North Korea on the proposal of the United States.
Angered by the UN's decision, North Korea threatened to attack the United States controlled Island 'Guam' in the Pacific Ocean. Later, North Korea stopped the attack in Guam but, the tension between the two countries United States and North Korea has been continuing. Political analysts believe that the way the United States and North Korea blame each other and threaten war can be started any time in this region.
Earlier in 1994, there was a provocative situation cantering on obstructing the entry of international observers at the North Korean nuclear complex. Then, it was resolved diplomatically.
North Korea threatened attacks in the United States, Japan and South Korea over the years. But, in reality North Korea did not always have the courage to attack. But, it is difficult to say what is going to happen now. It's hard to keep faith on US President Donald Trump and North Korean President Kim Jong-un, since both of them are eccentric in nature.
America's antagonism with North Korea is congenital. Japan was in possession of Korea before World War II. When Japan was capitulated in World War II, Korea was divided into two groups. In the support of the then Soviet Union, socialism was established in North Korea.
On the other hand, the democratic government was formed in South Korea with direct support from the United States. South Korea received a lot of help from the United States to increase economic and military power.
The United States provides all-round help to convert South Korea into a powerful state and provides South Korean cooperation and favours for North Korean occupation. Once upon a time the conspiracy has centred this state of the North of the Korean Islands. But, nothing happened. The country is now in a position to ignore America's brazen conspiracies that the United States is obliged to talk to North Korea.
US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has recently visited China to prevent North Korea from carrying nuclear weapons and missile programmes. North Korea's biggest ally is China, and North Korea has survived for the economic and military aid of China.
Now, around 90 per cent of the country's trade is with China. The United States needs help of China to put economic pressure on North Korea. But, how much response China will do to the call of the United States is a matter of question.
It is very important for China to maintain the stability of the Korean region. Considering this, China may agree with the United States on some issues. But, China will never want to destroy North Korea. Because of the destruction of North Korea, such a united Korea will be created, resulting in US troops coming to the border of China.
If the war begins in the Korean Peninsula, billions of people will come to China to take shelter. Since, North Korea is a nuclear power State, the United States will not want to fight with North Korea thinking about the future of themselves and their allies.
The economy is also a big reason behind it. If the war on the Korean island starts, chaos in the trade sector will be created. South Korea will be most affected as a supply chain; South Korea is of great importance.
South Korea is a big exporter of intermediate goods. Besides, one-fourth of the global income of SML Holdings NV Company comes from South Korea. If the internal situation is negative, foreign companies will withdraw business from the country. The investment will be reduced which will affect the world trade. So, the ongoing nuclear tension in the Korean peninsula, mutual fighting is not only a threat to East Asia but also a threat to overall global peace, economy and stability.
The consequences of the war will be horrific if it occurs really.
Russia, Japan and China can play a big role in resolving the current crisis. Especially, China can improve the situation rapidly. China has the importance of both the United States and North Korea.
